Day 48 August 5 2013 Niagara to Farmington NY

Pat, and his daily ritual before we depart

  • Honeoye Falls
    Village in New York
  • Honeoye Falls is a village in Monroe County, New York, United States. The population was 2,674 at the 2010 census. The village includes a small waterfall on Honeoye Creek, which flows through the village and gives it its name.

  • Below, we were somewhere in the country side of New York on the way to Farmington when
Tom, took a picture of this play house while the owner of the property was mowing his lawn.
Jim Woodard  the owner of the property waved Tom over. Tom is thinking, what did I do wrong?
Jim wanted to explain that he built the play house for his daughter when she was 8 years old. His daughter is now 38.  Jim and his wife Debbie support Wounded Warriors.

Great country roads in Canada, good weather for cycling

At our 50 mile break, Dave parked the RV at a busy gas station. We had half a dozen people getting gas,  come over to us and complement us on what we are doing. Below is a Canadian family who wanted their daughter to shake each of our hands and we took a picture with them.

At mile 63 of our ride, we stop to celebrate reaching a total distance of 3000 miles!

Scenery is beginning to change, we see Orchards and some vineyards

We reach Niagara Falls on the Canadian side looking toward the US

Picture with Kathy from Canada, who took some pictures for us and talked to us about our adventure.

Bob Render's bike gets Jim to Niagara falls. Bob was a member of our group in Irvine, who passed away a couple of years ago. His sons wanted Jim to take the bike with us on our journey, since Bob would have wanted to go with us.

    On the road again

    Below,

While at Travel lodge in London, we were plugged into outlet in parking lot per directions. Unfortunately it must have been 220 volts as we fried some wiring. We did not realize this until we got to Brantford Quality Inn and tried to hook up electric.

Dale talked to front desk, and got an address of RV repair. Unfortunately when he drove the RV there it was closed. Our cell phones were no help in locating repair place in Canada. He called the front desk and got the number of another repair place.
Dale called and it was the residence of the owner.

Dale finally ended up at Chantony Enterprises Mobile, Truck and Trailer Repair, owned by Tony Kraemer. He was able to bring in his worker Robert Kolesar who did the repair.

Five hours later, Dale was back with the trailer.
