Day 3 Welches Mt Hood RV Village to Simtustus Lake near Madras, 79 miles, 3996 ft of climbing

Leaving from Mt Hood RV Village we immediately start 15 mile climb, in light rain, to top of Mt Hood recreational snow park area. The road had a decent shoulder, but since it was Friday there was heavy traffic, including RVs and semi trucks. At the top, it was wet and cold.
